2nd day of vacation leave and i'm rotting at home. managed to clean some of the stuffs up in the room. glad that atleast there's some progress compared to 3 weeks back when my room was even worst than a pig's sty. there's some stuffs which i still need to buy from ikea like photo frames and plastic containers to organize my stuffs. ibu have been nagging to stop all purchases with regards to my room. according to her, i'm went over the budget. haha! i didn't know that there was even a budget in the first place! my room has yet to be painted. will probably do it closer to hari raya :D its only the start of 2010 and i'm already thinking of hari raya. stop it eh..

2nd day of vacation leaave and i have not done much revision for the coming year end examinations. i know the dates are back to back and the content of the modules aren't helping to make studying easier.

19 feb: adult nursing
22 feb: biological science
23 feb: health sociology, medical sociology, practitioner-patient relationship
(3 modules jam into a 1 hour paper. gerek tak? buku setebal-tebal tapi kluar setotet je..)
24 feb: pharmacology
25 feb: health psychology, social psychology

shall not waste any more time. only 3 weeks left to the most miserable week of my life. planning to revise adult nursing and biology tomorrow. literally revise!

oh fuck, i just missed cinta fitri. urgh. have to wake up early and watch the encore telecast tomorrow morning then. malas nyer!

today marks the last day of FHS posting at Outram and 3 weeks of final posting for year 2. after the exams, hello year 3! can't believe i'm a year away to graduation. poly life really pass by so fast. and in a course where almost half of your curriculum is filled with attachment, the faster time past by. i'm just relieved and grateful that i manage to pull through these 3 weeks of posting in one piece without any glitches. though there were some minor accident during IMH posting, but still can tahan :D

after work, Didi came to fetch me since he's on MC today. should thank me for your MC ok? if i didn't bug you to see the doctor, you wouldn't even have an MC k? haha! i just hope that your throat and cough will get better. maybe its those after effects of not smoking for quite some time? haha! but its not a reason for you to be picking up the habit again aight!

head down to arab street. didn't intend to shop but just to look around. in the end, this boy of mine ended up buying 5 tops at a very reasonable price :DD but still, there's quite a few stuffs left on his lists. i have yet to cancel anything on my list since i'm busy with postings. haha! wait for pay day then it will be my turn k Didi? haha!

was craving for food by the time we went out of the store. could not decide what to have for dinner. one thing led to another and we ended up having our dinner at eighteen chefs all thanks to Fatin Azrin's direction! :DD tried something new from the usual stuff. should remind myself to try the baked rice during the next visit! and the student price is also cheap! main dish, drink and ice cream for only $6.40++!

ok Ibu is pestering me to get ready for tomorrow's trip to Malaysia. night!

was in DRP and DFS room today. staffs over there pun gerek :D really inspired by the senior staffs cuz they are able to speak in multiple languages! one indian staff who looks chinese is able to speak in all 4 language fluently. the nurse in the DRP room speaks hokkien fairly well. but to see the amount of interest and time she puts in to learn the language amazes me. they are senior staffs who are like 50++ years old and they can still register new stuffs into their fully loaded brain!

and she was trying so hard to get this hokkien word right until it sounds vulgar. cute la.. she was trying to say "ah jie bi" which means last/next time which i can't remember. she kept on repeating the word trying to making it sounds right. but she emphasized on the wrong word and it came out as "ah chee bi"!

jacqueline cheng rui min alexis faith! you have to teach me more of hokkien ok and not just "kacheng ki lai" or "kia ki ko". you can teach nnesah all the vulgar words :D

let's face reality. even if you learn some foreign language like french, what's the probability that you would practice conversing the language. unless of course if you are going to france la or have some french patients! but tell me the chances of nursing hokkien speaking patients to french patients?! really cannot understand those who take up language classes. not as if we could understand what the hell you are trying to say!
SG: when are you leaving singapore?
FR: la semaine prochaine.
SG: what? your semen got porsche?
sorry if all my post have been about attachments. to be honest, that's what happen today! and also on every other days.. except for one or two odd days. just live with it lah ok? don't like what you are reading, you can scram off somewhere else :D

good news;

1. i didn't encounter any problem with my card today :D
2. i went out abit later and yet i managed to reach the polyclinic by 7.40am, which is still early but atleast not as early as the first day :D
3. dressing room is fun (cuz of the gerek ENs) and interesting (different from surgical where you change dressing after 3rd POD and perform STO) :D
4. attachment has been going smoothly so far. except for one or two staffs which both students and staffs despise. 2 more days to go before its finally over. :D

2nd day at FHS Outram.

went out 10 minutes later than i did yesterday. overestimated the time taken for the whole journey. thought that it will take me an hour to get there but i was wrong. the whole trip is only 35 to 40 minutes long. upon arriving at Outram MRT, made my way from East West line to North East line exit since its much nearer to HPB. had some trouble while tapping out when i had no problem tapping in. when i think back; my funds was sufficient, my concession have not expired and there was no problem when i tapped in earlier.

so instead of wasting time trying to tap my card on the card reader over and over again like some gundu and end up blocking the other passengers, i approach the passenger service counter, hoping that they would resolve the matter. there was only one staff in the counter and he was currently attending to some other passenger. when he finish serving the customer, i thought that he would immediately attend to me. but, no. he attended to his precious handphone; took it out, check for any messages or calls and went to charge it. and he do it all directly in front of me. am i invisible? can't you see that there's a passenger waiting to be served?

putting that issue aside, he asked for my card and did something on the computer. then i heard,"ten dollars added. have a nice day,". and he could smile and giggle before saying,"i accidentally top up your card. your card is fine. can you pay $10?".

like what the? maybe it was my mistake that i did not mention to him that i was experiencing some problem with my card and couldn't tap out. but did i told you to top up my card? i clearly did not. and even if it is a normalcy for the passenger service staffs to be topping up passenger's cards, they cannot assume that it applies to all situation. first of all, if my card was credited with insufficient value, won't i be able to tap into the station? i would have been prompted earlier when i was tapping in right? doesn't it make any sense that i was in the station and had some problem getting out of the station?

called Ayah up and told him about the incident. he said that this is a common issue that passengers has raised up. if its something common, don't you think you guys should do something about it? assess the situation first lah. ask the passenger first. get a rough idea of the problem faced by the passenger and then resolve it!

imagine if you apply this example to nursing. here comes an elderly woman who's complaining of headache. you happily go and send the patient for MRI, CT scan which cost 89747916y4908 dollars. and when the results came back,"oh, your results looks fine. you're healthy just that you have a slight migraine. can you please pay $89747916y4908?". you tell me how you feel?

dumbass
